Multi Year Accessibility Plan

Introduction

Glassroom strives to meet the needs of its employees and customers with disabilities and is working hard to remove and prevent barriers to accessibility. Glassroom is committed to fulfilling our requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005. This accessibility plan outlines the steps we are taking to meet those requirements and to improve opportunities for people with disabilities. Our plan shows how we will play our role in making Ontario an accessible province for all Ontarians. The plan is reviewed and updated at least once every 5 years. We commit to training every person as soon as practicable after being hired and provide training in respect of any changes to the policies We will maintain records of the training provided including the dates on which the training was provided and the number of individuals to whom it was provided.

Past Achievements to Remove and Prevent Barriers & Current Strategies/Actions

Accessibility Policies: Accessibility policies are being written and reviewed to be communicated with all staff and customers to inform them of our accessibility administration and initiatives. This includes all internal and external AODA policy requirements. These policies will be reviewed and updated as needed on a regular basis.

Training: Accessibility training is being sourced to provide all staff with the necessary coaching for providing customers in a way that allows all people to maintain their dignity and independence. Once training has been established.

Feedback: An accessibility specific email has been created to allow both customers, or employees to provide feedback on their experiences as well as to request specific accessibility accommodations if needed.

Accessible Formats & Communication Supports: Any requests received for accessibility support or accommodations are reviewed and assessed on an individual basis. Glassroom commits to reviewing all requests and implementing any necessary accommodations as appropriate.

Accessible Websites & Web Content: All websites are WCAG 2.0 compliant.

Employee Supports: Employees are provided with the necessary information and policies regarding the availability of accessibility accommodations that are available to them during their employment with Glassroom. Policies are provided for new staff to review upon their onboarding, as well as available through the company intranet for current staff to review as needed. All policies are updated and reviewed as needed.

Workplace Emergency Response Plans: Upon employee request, Glassroom will create specialized workplace emergency response plans to accommodate any disability that may result in an employee's need for an individual emergency response plan.

Individual Accommodation Plans: Glassroom’s Accessibility Standards policy highlights the procedure for any employee requiring a specialized accommodation plan for their employment. Plans are developed on an individualized basis to meet the employees specific needs.

Return to Work Processes: All accessibility requirements will be taken into consideration during the creation, development, and roll out of any performance management and or career development related plans. An accessibility lens will be used during the launch of these programs to ensure there are no barriers to staff.
